Recap: Delta Charter Dragons vs. Denair Coyotes
The Delta Charter Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to Denair 48-43.
It was another big night for Koby Cervantes, who dropped a triple-double on 31 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals for Denair. That makes it four consecutive games in which Cervantes has scored at least 25% of Denair's points. Another player making a difference was Landen Borges, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Delta Charter has fallen quite a ways from their 20-7 record last season and are now at 1-7. As for Denair, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Delta Charter will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Tioga at 5:00 p.m. Tioga comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Denair, they will head out on the road to face off against Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Orestimba presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Denair in California (Orestimba is ranked 319th, while Denair is ranked 1192nd).
