Basketball Game Preview: French Settlement Lions vs. St. Amant Gators

After both having extra time off, the French Settlement Lions and the St. Amant Gators will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. French Settlement has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

French Settlement is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 59-51 victory over Slidell last Friday.

Meanwhile, St. Amant came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against De La Salle by a score of 72-64 last Friday.

St. Amant's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for French Settlement, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

French Settlement was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Amant in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 50-37. Will French Settlement repeat their success, or does St. Amant have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
