The Banquete Bulldogs are still winless after their match against the Lasara Lions on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Banquete fell just short of Lasara by a score of 57-54. When it comes to explaining why Banquete lost, one person who can't be blamed is Andrew Elizondo. Despite the final result, he scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Dietrich Looez, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Banquete's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lasara, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Banquete is on the road again on Friday and play against Pettus at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Pettus is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Lasara, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Taft at 6:30 p.m. Taft has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three matchups.
