Softball Recap: Colorado Takes a Loss

Colorado has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.96 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Coahoma Bulldogs, falling 11-0. The Wolves have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Colorado's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7-1. As for Coahoma, they pushed their record up to 21-0 with the win, which was their 29th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colorado will square off against Christoval at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Coahoma, they will head out on the road to square off against Lamesa at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tornadoes have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
