Softball Recap: Dorman Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Dorman dropped their record down to 17-9-1 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell 3-0 to the Boiling Springs Bulldogs. Cavaliers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bulldogs since on Wednesday.

Makenzie Rapalee was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched.

As for Boiling Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11. The game was the first time they have beaten Dorman on their field since March 25, 2022.

On Boiling Springs' side, Cloey Taulbee and Myah Salters did most of the damage at the plate: Taulbee went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Salters went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs Salters has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Sayde Parris, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Dorman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boiling Springs, they have already played their next match, a 14-4 defeat against Lexington on the 15th.
