Basketball Game Preview: Gloucester County Christian Conquerors vs. Calvary Christian Academy Cougars

The Gloucester County Christian Conquerors and the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Gloucester County Christian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Gloucester County Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Caravel, who was ranked ninth in their home state at the time (Gloucester County Christian was ranked 17th). Gloucester County Christian lost 73-50 to Caravel on Tuesday.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from David DellaRova, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Gesin, who posted ten points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 75-59 fall against MAST Community Charter. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Gloucester County Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Gloucester County Christian might still be hurting after the 60-38 defeat they got from Calvary Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Gloucester County Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
