Volleyball Recap: Trinidad's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games + How To Watch

Trinidad's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Crested Butte Titans. The win was some much needed relief for the Miners as it spelled an end to their ten-match losing streak.

Trinidad had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-15.

Trinidad got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elia Bowman out in front who had seven aces and four digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Summer Hernandez, who had six assists and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Trinidad was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Trinidad's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-16. As for Crested Butte, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinidad will welcome Springfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crested Butte, they will be playing at home against Gunnison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
