In an effort to fill the live sports void, ESPN2 will broadcast six McDonald's All-American Games and 11 high school slam dunk contests spanning from 1993 to 2019 on Saturday.

This year's games (boys and girls) have been canceled but we decided to celebrate the event anyway by looking back at the best individual performances.

For those planning to watch Saturday on ESPN2, the McDonald's All-American Games site provides a year-by-year list of participants.

Although Michael Jordan set the record for most points in 1980 with 30, he didn't win MVP honors and narrowly missed our Top 10.

Others in the running but ultimately edged out include Kevin Garnett, who finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds in 1995, Khalid Reeves (22 points, 10 steals in 1990) and Jerry Stackhouse (27 points in 1993).
