Recap: Tecumseh Braves vs. Boonville Pioneers
The Tecumseh Braves lost to the Boonville Pioneers back in January of 2023, but the Tecumseh Braves didn't allow the Boonville Pioneers the same satisfaction on Saturday. Tecumseh blew past Boonville 64-44. Given Tecumseh's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Boonville is ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jenna Donohoo, who scored 17 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Tecumseh's points. Another player making a difference was Bailey Riddle, who scored nine points.
Tecumseh's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Boonville, they bumped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tecumseh will take on Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Vernon is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Boonville, they will head out on the road to face off against South Spencer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Spencer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Thursday.
