Recap: Silver Bluff Bulldogs vs. McCormick Chiefs

On Wednesday, Silver Bluff came up short against McCormick and fell 51-42.

Silver Bluff lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justin Perry, who scored nine points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Deshawn Wells, who scored nine points along with six assists.

Speaking of assists, Silver Bluff were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCormick only racked up four assists.

McCormick can attribute much of their success to Camden Durant, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Durant has scored all season. Terrence Cartledge was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

Silver Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for McCormick, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Silver Bluff will head out on the road to take on Strom Thurmond at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Strom Thurmond has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 432 points over their last seven matches. As for McCormick, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. Dixie has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
