Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Miller County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Oconee Academy Titans on Tuesday. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Miller County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Horn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Miller County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lake Oconee Academy beat Miller County by a score of 14-1 later that day.
