Palmerton has gone 8-2 against Northern Lehigh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Bombers are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Palmerton will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Palmerton took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Northwestern Lehigh, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Bombers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers on Thursday, sneaking past 5-4. The game was the first time the Blue Bombers have beaten the Tigers on their field since March 28, 2023.

Mason George was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Matkso, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Northern Lehigh couldn't beat Jim Thorpe on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Bulldogs took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olympians.

Connor Simms made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Trent Richards also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Northern Lehigh has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Palmerton, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
