Southwest and New Braunfels squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Southwest had to settle for second. They came up short against the Unicorns, falling 13-2. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Southwest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antonio Flores, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6-1. As for New Braunfels, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-6.

While Southwest had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
