Basketball Game Preview: Strasburg Indians vs. Highland Huskies

The Strasburg Indians will face off against the Highland Huskies at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Strasburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Salida 78-48. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Strasburg's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Glatfelter, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Glatfelter has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Tyce Bollers was another key player, shooting 47% from the field en route to 19 points and seven assists.

Strasburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Highland entered their tilt with Middle Park on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Panthers 63-45.

Strasburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. Highland's win bumped their record up to 19-6.

Strasburg beat Highland 70-60 in their previous meeting back in February. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Highland's Sawyer Morgan, who posted 20 points along with eight boards and five assists.
