Football Recap: Splendora Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Splendora lost against Nederland back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 769th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 288th).

Tj Burch and Brayden Hinton certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Burch picked up 84 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Hinton threw for 99 yards and one TD.

Splendora's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Nederland, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Splendora is set to face off against their familiar foe West Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nederland will challenge rival Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
