Recap: Granada Hills Charter Highlanders vs. Chatsworth Chancellors

The Granada Hills Charter Highlanders had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 48-28 margin over Chatsworth. The result was nothing new for Granada Hills Charter, who have now won four matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Darrell Stanley was a one-man wrecking crew for Granada Hills Charter as he rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. Stanley's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Pharrell Stanley was another key contributor, rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

Chatsworth's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Rameau, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Oden, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.

Granada Hills Charter's win bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for Chatsworth, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Granada Hills Charter will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carson at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. As for Chatsworth, they will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Poly at 7:00 p.m.
