Basketball Recap: Randolph-Macon Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fredericksburg Academy back in December of 2024, Randolph-Macon Academy came back down to earth. The Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 36-35 to the Immanuel Christian Warriors. The Yellow Jackets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kay Perry and Dleanna Hoosain certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Perry posted 17 points, while Hoosain had ten points. That's the most points Hoosain has posted since back in January of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Randolph-Macon Academy fell to 3-1. As for Immanuel Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Randolph-Macon Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-11 loss against Wakefield School on the 14th. As for Immanuel Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trinity at Meadow View at 4:15 p.m. on January 31st.
