Softball Recap: Buckeye Central Comes Up Short

Buckeye Central had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-9 to make it seven. They lost 7-1 to the Wynford Royals. If the Bucks were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Royals when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aj Jury made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played.

As for Wynford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6. That looming 7-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

On Wynford's side, Rylee Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Wynford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Laipply, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Royals beat Buckeye Central by a score of 13-7 on Wednesday.
