Softball Recap: Clear Springs Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Clear Springs had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Atascocita Eagles on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Eagles on Thursday, they had to take a 13-11 defeat.

Jenna Hashaw tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

On the hitting side, Erianna Garcia was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Thomas, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Clear Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. As for Atascocita, their loss dropped their record down to 30-8.

As of now, neither Clear Springs nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
