Soccer Recap: Milan Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Huron

Milan faced Huron in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Big Reds took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chiefs. Milan were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior), but Huron's defense proved too tough.

Having lost for the first time this season, Milan fell to 5-1. As for Huron, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-1.

Looking ahead, Milan will venture away from home to face off against Grosse Ile at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Huron, they will host Churchill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
