Volleyball Recap: North Miami Pioneers vs. Mourning Sharks
After flying high against Killian last Tuesday, North Miami came back down to earth. The Pioneers fell just short of the Mourning Sharks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss was the Pioneers' first of the season.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, North Miami sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 26-24, 15-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12.
It was another big night for Juan Clavijo, who had 65 digs for Mourning. Clavijo is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Matthew Figueroa, who had 13 digs.
