Softball Recap: Dallas Christian Beats Prince of Peace for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Dallas Christian came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Prince of Peace Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chloe Rodriguez was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Dallas Christian let Zailey Freeman and Raegan Haar run wild. Freeman scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Haar went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Sammi Boothe was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Dallas Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three strikeouts batters in four consecutive contests.

Dallas Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-2-1. As for Prince of Peace, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
