Softball Game Preview: Muhlenberg Muhls vs. Oley Valley Lynx

The Muhlenberg Muhls will face off against the Oley Valley Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Muhlenberg came up short against Exeter Township on Wednesday, falling 15-3. That's two games in a row now that the Muhls have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Ella Stettler was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Jablonski, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Oley Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-7 to Brandywine Heights Area.

Emma Ott made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Kadyn Rhoads was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Oley Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Muhlenberg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Muhlenberg's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Muhls have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game.
