Basketball Recap: McIntosh Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Langston Hughes, McIntosh was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-52 win over the Marion County Eagles. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Chiefs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Despite the loss, Marion County still got an impressive performance from Sage Davis, who posted 27 points and seven rebounds. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 26 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Azaria Dean, who earned nine points.

McIntosh's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Marion County, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-10.

McIntosh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-18 loss against Starr's Mill on the 5th. As for Marion County, they will challenge Chattahoochee County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Marion County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.
