Preview: Teton Timberwolves vs. South Fremont Cougars
Teton is 9-1 against South Fremont since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Teton Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the South Fremont Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. South Fremont took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Teton, who comes in off a win.
Teton posted their closest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Jackson Hole 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, South Fremont's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Marsh Valley on the road and fell 75-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat South Fremont has suffered yet this season.
South Fremont's loss came about despite a quality game from Skyler Forbush, who scored 14 points. Tyce Poulsen was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Teton's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for South Fremont, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Teton against South Fremont when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 69-37 victory. Does Teton have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Fremont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
