Baseball Recap: Karns Takes a Loss

While it was Karns who put the first runs on the board on Saturday, it was Cookeville who put up more. The Beavers took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beavers of the 10-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

This is the second loss in a row for Karns and nudges their season record down to 10-10. As for Cookeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Karns will square off against Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cookeville, they are taking a road trip to take on Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
