After both having extra time off, the Ridge Community Bolts and the Venice Indians will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
If Ridge Community beats Venice with 22 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Bolts enjoyed a cozy 22-8 victory over Davenport two weeks ago. The win continues a trend for the Bolts in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won five in a row.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Lavonski Tubbs and Kenyon Helms. Tubbs rushed for 100 yards and one TD on only ten carries while Helms rushed for 75 yards and one score on only six carries. Tubbs' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Venice back in October. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Sarasota out of the water with a 51-14 final score. Considering the Indians have won three games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Venice's win came from a few key players Ridge Community will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyree Mannings, who picked up 140 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, he posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September. Ira Dale Jr also helped with two TDs in total.
Venice was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 226 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
Venice's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. In that department, Brock Hupp was the leader with two sacks. He has become a key player for Venice: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one sack, but 2-3 otherwise. The Indians got some further help from Tristen Neeley: he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.
The victory got Ridge Community back to even at 5-5. As for Venice, their record now sits at 6-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Ridge Community has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 149.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Venice struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 204 rushing yards.
