Baseball Recap: Water Valley Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Water Valley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ingomar Falcons a 4-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Water Valley's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Richardson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Water Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
