Basketball Game Preview: MacDonald Condor vs. Oakwood Hawks + How To Watch

The MacDonald Condor will head out on the road to challenge the Oakwood Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, MacDonald beat Del Mar 48-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Condor.

MacDonald can attribute much of their success to Mateen Mazhar, who shot 78% from the field to rack up 19 points, and Anthony Parrales, who went 5-for-11 en route to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Oakwood gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging an 84-18 victory over North Monterey County. The Hawks have beaten the Condors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Condors has come to flipping the script.

Oakwood's win came from a few key players MacDonald will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryce Smith-Keeney, who shot 79% from the field on his way to 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Carlson, who went 6-for-11 en route to 14 points in addition to six assists and six boards.
