Volleyball Recap: Simla Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Simla had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Cubs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Simla took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-15.

Simla found their leader in sophomore Ava Leininger, who had eight digs and seven aces. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Leininger.

Simla's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-6 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simla will take on Peyton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will challenge SkyView Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
