Recap: Childress Bobcats vs. Muleshoe Mules
After losing to the Muleshoe Mules the last time they met, the Childress Bobcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Childress claimed a resounding 67-39 win over Muleshoe on the road. With Childress ahead 46-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Childress was led to victory by Clarissa Gamboa and Journey Prince. Gamboa scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals, while Prince scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Jalomo, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Childress' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Muleshoe, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Childress will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Gruver at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Gruver comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Muleshoe, they will be playing at home against Sudan at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sudan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Muleshoe likes a good challenge.
