Basketball Recap: Oshkosh North Comes Up Short

Oshkosh North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. The matchup between them and the Hortonville Polar Bears didn't end well, with the Oshkosh North Spartans falling 57-40. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Polar Bears are ranked 32nd).

Oshkosh North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Hortonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oshkosh North will host Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hortonville will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Providence Academy at 4:30 p.m. on February 21st.
