Softball Recap: Lafayette Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy last Tuesday, Lafayette Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Lafayette Christian Academy Knights came up short against the Notre Dame Pioneers on Thursday, falling 17-2. The Knights have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Lafayette Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Notre Dame, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Looking ahead, Lafayette Christian Academy will face off against Port Barre at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lafayette Christian Academy has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Notre Dame, they will take on Natchitoches Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.7 runs per game this season.
