Football Recap: York Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

York never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Dreher on Thursday. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 35-28. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tayshon Freeman was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a pair of TDs on the ground. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to York's defense and their 4.5 sacks. Jah'Maud Moore was especially locked on to Dreher's QB and sacked him twice. Moore is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season. York got some further help from Bennet Reeder: he picked up 0.5 sacks, forced two fumbles, and made ten total tackles.

York's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Dreher, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-3.
