Basketball Recap: Orrville Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Orrville hadn't done well against Canton South recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Orrville Red Riders took down the Canton South Wildcats 56-41. For the Red Riders, this counts as revenge for the 56-47 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Orrville moved to 5-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Canton South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Orrville will take on Fairless at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton South, they will challenge Ellet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellet knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Canton South likes a good challenge.
