Football Recap: Mountain Heritage Cougars vs. Avery County Vikings
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain Heritage). They claimed a resounding 57-7 win over the Avery County Vikings. Leading Mountain Heritage to victory were Brayden Deyton and Cason Jones. Deyton threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, while Jones rushed for 109 yards and one TD. Jones didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass. Jackson Banks also helped with two scores in total.
