Baseball Game Preview: Hidden Valley Titans vs. Lord Botetourt Cavaliers

The Hidden Valley Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hidden Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Lord Botetourt will be coming in after a defeat.

Hidden Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Glenvar 11-0.

Carter Perkins was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Clarke, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Lord Botetourt didn't have quite enough to beat Blacksburg on Tuesday and fell 5-4. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost three in a row.

Noah Donaho made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Lonker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hidden Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lord Botetourt, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Hidden Valley couldn't quite finish off Lord Botetourt in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can Hidden Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
