Volleyball Game Preview: Atlantic Eagles vs. Boynton Beach Tigers

The Atlantic Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Boynton Beach Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Atlantic has four straight victories, Boynton Beach has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Atlantic got the win against Palm Beach Lakes by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Atlantic was: they took every set by at least 25 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Boynton Beach duked it out with Dreyfoos School of the Arts on Thursday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars.

Boynton Beach started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

Boynton Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Atlantic, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Atlantic beat Boynton Beach 3-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
