Football Recap: Homestead Mustangs vs. Fremont Firebirds
Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a hard 28-14 fall against the Fremont Firebirds. The Mustangs lost against the Firebirds in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 37-0 score last time.
Praxedo Gacrama Iv had an outrageously good game for Fremont as he rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The dominant performance gave Gacrama Iv a new career-high in rushing yards.
Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Fremont, they moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
As of now, neither Homestead nor Fremont have any future games scheduled.
