Soccer Game Preview: Brazosport vs. Sweeny

The Brazosport Exporters will challenge the Sweeny Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Saturday, Brazosport didn't have quite enough to beat Columbia and fell 2-1. The Exporters have struggled against the Roughnecks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Brazosport's goal came courtesy of Natali Reyes, who's now up to 17 this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Sweeny's offense. They fell just short of Needville by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in January.

Brazosport's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Sweeny, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Brazosport suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Sweeny in their previous meeting on February 1st. Can Brazosport avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
