Basketball Recap: Moses Allen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carrollwood Day over Berkeley Prep

After flying high against IMG Academy Silver last Tuesday, Carrollwood Day came back down to earth. The matchup between the Carrollwood Day Patriots and the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers didn't end well, with the Carrollwood Day Patriots falling 55-40. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Buccaneers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Carrollwood Day lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Moses Allen, who went 5 for 9 en route to 16 points. Allen's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Logan Field, who posted nine points.

Carrollwood Day's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Berkeley Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Carrollwood Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-50 victory against Clearwater on the 18th. Berkeley Prep has also already played their next contest, a 57-45 loss against Miami on the 18th.
