Soccer Game Preview: Righetti vs. Paso Robles + How To Watch

The Righetti Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Paso Robles Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Righetti fell victim to Santa Maria and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Saints by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Righetti can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Santa Maria are ranked 18th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Paso Robles took on Pioneer Valley on Friday. The Bearcats lost 5-0 to the Panthers. Paso Robles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Paso Robles' defeat dropped their record down to 14-6-1. As for Righetti, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5-3.

Everything went Righetti's way against Paso Robles when the teams last played back in January, as Righetti made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
