Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop Bergan Knights vs. North Bend Central Tigers

The Archbishop Bergan Knights will face off against the North Bend Central Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Archbishop Bergan made easy work of Guardian Angels Central Catholic and carried off a 55-35 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Bend Central had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 36-33. The 36-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Archbishop Bergan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.3 points. As for North Bend Central, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
