Volleyball Recap: Blakely Gill Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Campbell County

Sundance hadn't done well against Campbell County recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Camels. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Camels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Sundance never let Campbell County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14.

Sundance's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blakely Gill, who had 11 digs. Phoebe Skeens also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Sundance's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Campbell County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Sundance has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Rapid City Central on the 5th. As for Campbell County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Tongue River on the 5th.
