Soccer Recap: McFarland Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when McFarland duked it out with Lemoore on Friday. The Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 3-2. McFarland better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Cristian Avalos, as he scored every single goal for his team.

McFarland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-0-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six contests. As for Lemoore, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, McFarland will be taking part in a tournament against Farmersville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lemoore, they will take on Coalinga in a tournament on Saturday.
