Basketball Recap: New Ulm Cathedral Comes Up Short

If New Ulm Cathedral was feeling good fresh off their 70-41 takedown of Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds were dealt a 72-44 loss at the hands of the Nicollet Raiders on Friday. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

New Ulm Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Nicollet, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-12.

New Ulm Cathedral has already played their next contest (against Madelia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Nicollet, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-44 victory against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman on the 15th.
