Volleyball Game Preview: Salesian Mustangs vs. St. Paul Swordsmen

The Salesian Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the St. Paul Swordsmen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Salesian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Anthony just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Saints, falling 3-0.

Salesian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-14.

Meanwhile, St. Paul unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to St. Anthony.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-17, 25-17.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Salesian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Everything went Salesian's way against St. Paul in their previous matchup on March 13th, as Salesian made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Salesian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
