Recap: Smyrna Bulldogs vs. Cookeville Cavaliers
The Smyrna Bulldogs lost against the Cookeville Cavaliers back in November of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Smyrna had to suffer through a rough 70-31 loss at the hands of Cookeville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Smyrna has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Smyrna still got an impressive performance from Jalylle Batey-roberts, who scored 14 points. The contest was Batey-roberts' fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Smyrna has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Cookeville, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smyrna will take on Stewarts Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cookeville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against York Institute at 7:30 p.m. York Institute will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
