Basketball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

After soaring to 74 points the game before, Meridian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a blow against the Clinton Maroons, falling 75-25. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.

Meridian and Clinton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Meridian (ranked 476th) will meet Tuscola (ranked 173rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clinton will take on Warrensburg-Latham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 155 places (270 vs. 115).
