North Paulding gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They strolled past the Parkview Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 41-27. The Wolfpack have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Paulding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khalil Harrell, who rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Brycen Morris-Martinez was another key rusher, rushing for 74 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Paulding was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview only rushed for 115 rushing yards.

North Paulding didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Obi Duru and Cooper Anderson.

Despite the loss, Parkview still got an impressive performance from Greg Hart, who threw for 237 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground.

North Paulding has already played their next match, a 45-30 victory against East Paulding on the 22nd. As for Parkview, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
